Dr Robert Bester

Doctor

Graduate of the University of Cape Town, South Africa, moving to NZ in 1986.

Worked in Gisborne and Southland Hospitals, and has Postgrad Diplomas in Obstetrics and Gynaecology; Musculoskeletal Medicine, Travel Medicine and Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, and Certificates in Dermoscopy and Skin Cancer Surgery.

Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners.

Joined the practice in 1990.

Dr Hesté Henning

Doctor

Graduate of the university of Stellenbosch, South Africa, and Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners.

Worked as a GP in Christchurch before joining our team.

Dr Natalie Balme

Doctor

Graduate of the University of Otago, Dunedin, and Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners.

Born in Invercargill.

Dr Simon Collins

Doctor

Dr Collins is back in the practice after his latest mission to Cambodia.

Graduate of the University of Otago, he has a wealth of experience in general practice, both in New Zealand and internationally.

Dr Rebecca Stewart

Doctor

Born in the UK but grew up in NZ, married a Kiwi, lived and worked in Gore for many years, and she and her family are relocting to Invercargill. She has many strings to her bow, including a Batchelor of Physical Education before doing Medicine and getting her Fellowhip of the College of GP’s. Since then she has added a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Medicine and a Cetificate in Travel Medicine to her skills, and also has experience in practice governance and being a GP educator for doctors specialising in General Practice.

Dr Malcolm Williams

Doctor

Worked in Invercargill for many years, has previously been a locum in our practice and now a valuable member of our team.

Dr Duncan McKay

Doctor

Graduate of the University of Otago, Dunedin. Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and worked at Southland Hospital.

Also worked in Britain in Paediatrics and Accident and Emergency Medicine, and in General Practice in Southland since 1994. Fellow of the Royal NZ College of General Practitioners. Joined the practice in 1996.

Now living in Christchurch and continues to do remote support work for the practice inclusive of correspondence and results management for doctors on leave, insurance work and Covid consulting.

Originally from beautiful La Rochelle, France, Morgane is now using her business administration skills to ensure the practice runs smoothly. Outside of work she spends time with her husband and children, making the best of all that Southland has to offer.
